Homematic IP expands its range with a solar-operated alarm siren

The alarm siren is an essential component for all security systems. A loud and clearly visible alarm signal does not only frighten intruders: the neighbours are also made aware of a potential danger and can quickly call for help. With the powerful alarm siren – outdoor, Homematic IP offers even better protection against intruders for the home. This offers two loudspeakers as well as striking LED indicators which are activated as soon as Homematic IP sensors such as motion detectors or window contacts are triggered.
The new Homematic IP Alarm Siren – outdoor ensures that homeowners feel somewhat safer. Thanks to a solar cell and battery operation, complex laying of cables is a thing of the past. In the daytime and on sunny days, enough energy is stored so that operation is also assured at night and on cloudy days.
The siren has a sabotage contact which provides extra security by identifying tampering or unwanted disassembly early on. The weather-resistant siren can be constantly wirelessly operated via a solar cell in conjunction with three rechargeable batteries. Homematic IP also assures offline operation so that the siren also sounds if the Internet connection fails. The alarm is even guaranteed if the electricity supply of the central element of the system, the Homematic IP Access Point, is isolated.
The Homematic IP Alarm Siren – outdoor can be operated via the Homematic IP Access Point in conjunction with the free smartphone app as well as via the smart home Central Control Unit CCU2/CCU3. The Homematic IP Alarm Siren – outdoor is available now (RRP: EUR 119.90).
