Homematic IP increases sales in retail by 70 per cent
Market leader status developed
Leer, 1 July 2019 – eQ-3, the European market leader in the smart home sector*, also achieved extremely positive developments at the start of 2019. In retail, the sales of the smart home manufacturer from January to the end of May grew by 70 per cent compared to the previous year. In 2018, the manufacturer from Leer set a new record with over 5 million products sold. The reasons for these figures include the Homematic IP Starter Sets which make it easy to get started with a smart home.
“With Homematic IP, we have had further success and see this as confirmation that the smart home concept has become suitable for mass markets,” says Professor Heinz-Gerhard Redeker, eQ-3 AG CEO. “The growth figures are even more impressive due to the warm spring. This means that Homematic is also growing more quickly than the whole market with an increase of 70 per cent in the retail sector.”
Above all, the Homematic IP Starter Sets help you to cost effectively make your home smart and to inspire enthusiasm for the topic. “With the climate control, alarm and shutter control starter sets, as well as our free Homematic IP app, we offer a plausible and simple route for starting with the smart home topic and we persuade those interested with our VDE-certified data security. Our customers remain anonymous since we do not collect any personal data. At the same time, the wide range with more than 80 Homematic IP products ensures that the sets can be simply supplemented at any time and so that the smart home can be successively extended,” explains Professor Redeker. Over 30 million products from eQ-3 AG have already been installed in 1.7 million European households as a basis for smart home solutions. With a product portfolio of 80 devices, Homematic provides the most comprehensive solution on the smart home market and is the sole provider to guarantee product and software availability until the end of 2030.
